The design of this mug was done using the cuerda seca technique, which involves using wax to delineate patterns and separate glaze colors. As a hiker who loves mountains, I decided to freeform this mountain design using black wax and four glaze colors, and leaving the rim with a rustic look. This was my second piece using the cuerda seca technique.
